Mauthausen Memorial

Mauthausen was a concentration camp in Upper Austria from 1938 until its liberation in May 1945. Tens of thousands of people were murdered there. The site is now a public memorial and museum run by the Austrian Interior Ministry; admission to the grounds is free and guided visits are booked separately. Transport from Vienna and Linz is sold by operators and is listed below as a record of what is available. Nothing here is ranked, priced or recommended.
